Newey's began in 1971, when a local pub landlord saw the chance to bring Jewellery Quarter craftsmanship straight to the people of Birmingham. More than fifty years on, John is still at the bench as head goldsmith, and the welcome on Vyse Street is as warm and personal as it has always been.

    Every ring starts with a conversation and a pencil. We talk through the stone, the shape and how you will wear it, then sketch it by hand with loose diamonds on the table.

    The sketch becomes an exact 3D model, so you can check proportions, claws and profile from every angle before any metal is made.
